Survivors include, Lawrence Little, Jr.(Joy Hill) of Houston, Texas; Sandra Flemming (Mrs. William) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Marjorie Causey (Mrs. Patrick) of Webster, Texas as well as 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family moved to Portales in 1922. Lawrence graduated from high school in 1929. He received a B.S. from New Mexico A. & M. in Las Cruces and an M.S. from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Until he retired in 1976 he was actively engaged in the dairy manufacturing and food supply industries.

Little was an active member of several associations and societies. He published several papers and articles relating to the food ingredients, chemicals and food processes.

Little was also very active in genealogy and philanthropic organizations and an author. He published several historically relevant books about his community and family.

At the time of his death, Lawrence Lewis Little, Sr., was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Portales, New Mexico, as well as in Indianapolis, Indiana and St. Louis, Missouri. Additionally he served on the Board of Directors of the Presbytery of St. Louis, Missouri.
